Introduction
This rich and creamy Homemade Hot Chocolate is made with real chocolate, cocoa powder, milk, and cream for an indulgent café-style drink. Finished with fluffy whipped cream and toasted marshmallows, it’s the perfect comforting beverage for chilly evenings, Christmas celebrations, or whenever you’re craving a warm chocolate treat.
Ingredients

- 100 g semi-sweet chocolate, finely chopped
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups fresh cream
- 3 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp sugar or honey (adjust to taste)
- A pinch of salt
- ½ tsp cinnamon powder (optional)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Whipped cream, for topping
- Marshmallows, for topping
Instructions
- Pour the milk and fresh cream into a saucepan.
- Heat gently over low flame.
- Add the cocoa powder and sugar (or honey).
- Continue heating over low to medium flame while stirring.
- Once the mixture starts to bubble, add the chopped semi-sweet chocolate.
- Stir continuously until the chocolate melts completely.
- Add the cinnamon powder (if using), vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
- Cook for another 2–3 minutes until the hot chocolate becomes smooth and creamy.

Serving
- Pour the hot chocolate into serving mugs.
- Top generously with whipped cream.
- Garnish with toasted marshmallows.
- Serve immediately while hot.
