Laccha pyaaz is a classic Indian Onion Salad. Very often this salad is served with Tandoori style dishes, slow-cooked meats and gravies and basically with almost every North Indian meal.

Ingredients
- 1–2 large onion
- 1 green chilli (optional)
- 1 tsp Shilpa’s Masala Mill Kashmiri Chilli Powder
- ½ tsp coriander seeds powder
- Salt to taste
- ½ tsp chaat masala
- Pinch of black pepper
- ½ lemon juice / vinegar
- Few coriander leaves, chopped
Instructions
Slice the onions and separate each ring (½ cm roundels or lacchas).

Do not cut the onions too thin or they won’t be crunchy. Soak these onions in chilled (icy cold) water for at least 15–20 minutes.

Prepare the masala by mixing all other ingredients.

Drain the onion rings. Toss the rings with the masalas right before serving. That’s it, your Dhaba Style Laccha Pyaaz is ready.

Serve with lemon slices and green chillies.
