
INGREDIENTS
- 250 g (1¾ cups) white sesame seeds (unpolished)
- ½ cup roasted and peeled peanuts
- 1 tsp cardamom powder
- 2 tbsp milk powder
- 1 tbsp water
- 250–300 g (1¾ cups) finely chopped jaggery
- 2 tbsp ghee
- Chopped pistachios for garnish
INSTRUCTIONS
- Dry roast the sesame seeds over low heat for 5–6 minutes until crisp.
- Allow them to cool.
- Pulse the sesame seeds and roasted peanuts together to make a coarse mixture.

- Add the cardamom powder and milk powder.

- Mix well and keep aside.
- In a kadhai, add the water and jaggery.
- Melt the jaggery over low heat.
- Add the ghee.
- Cook while stirring continuously.

- Once bubbles begin to form, cook for another 3–4 minutes.
- Add the sesame mixture.
- Mix thoroughly.

- Transfer the hot mixture onto greased butter paper.
- Knead it carefully while still warm for about 4–5 minutes.


- Shape the mixture into a square.
- Roll it out to about ½-inch thickness using a rolling pin.

- Cut into your desired shapes.
- Garnish with chopped pistachios.

- Allow it to set for 1 hour.
- Enjoy this soft Til Gud Gajak.
- A perfect festive sweet for Lohri.
